Botanical name: Agastache rugosa f. albiflora

Often sold as White Korean Mint, this white-flowered form of the typically purple species is an herbaceous perennial valued for its vertical structure and pollinator appeal. The plant produces dense, terminal spikes of creamy-white, two-lipped flowers from mid-summer through early autumn, which stand in sharp contrast to the textured, medium-green foliage. The leaves are distinctly “rugose” (wrinkled) and emit a strong aroma of anise and mint when crushed, making the plant resistant to deer and rabbits while remaining highly attractive to bees and butterflies. It typically grows in an upright, clump-forming habit reaching 2 to 4 feet in height and performs best in full sun with excellent drainage; like many Agastaches, it is susceptible to root rot in heavy, wet winter soils.
